HIROSHIMA DAY 2022 - 2023

Hiroshima Day is a day to remember the victims of the atomic bombing of the Japanese city of Hiroshima during World War II. To observe this day, children learnt about the story of Sadako’s thousand cranes. Sadako was a little girl who survived the bombing but was diagnosed with Leukemia as a result of being exposed to harmful radiation from the bomb. She kept her hopes alive by making paper cranes. Students made paper cranes to spread Sadako’s message of peace and hope throughout the world. The cranes were collected to deck up the hallways to observe this day.
