Melodic Moments: Grade 2 Guest Lecture on Music

The Department of Music hosted a guest lecture for our Grade 2 students on February 5th, 2024, featuring vocalists Ms. Srimathi S, Ms. Aarsha Midhun and Mr. Mervin Solomon, and instrumentalists Mr. Mervin Solomon, Mr. Vijay, Mr. Venkataramanan, Mr. Sanjay, and Mr. Prince. Classical nuances and fusion music captivated students, highlighting music's significance in education.

Exciting Event : TED-Ed at The Pupil International School on November 18th, 2023

The Pupil is proud to announce its association with TED providing an exclusive platform to its students to showcase their ideasdiligently. TED is a non-profit organisation devoted to spreading ideas,usually in the form of short, powerful talks. TED talks range from vivid ideas encompassing topics from science to business to global issues — in more than
100 languages. TED-Ed aims to spark and celebrate the ideas andknowledge-sharing of educators and learners. TED-Ed embarks students on anexplorative journey discovering new arenas thereby enhancing their oratory and presentation skills.  

The Pupil always believes in providing a unique platform to nurture its learners.  We encourage innovation to facilitate theconnection and communication which allows them to ‘go higher - go places’. As a part of Edition 1, we have our 38 TED Ed Student speakers deliver their powerful talk  on 18 Nov 23.

Grade 4 Educational Excursion: Exploring Parle G Biscuit Manufacturing factory at Madhavaram

On February 2, 2024, Grade 4 students undertook an enriching educational excursion to the Parle G biscuit manufacturing factory in Madhavaram. This visit, aligned with our curriculum's "How We Organize Ourselves" theme, focused on the critical concept of measurement.  The students actively observed the comprehensive process of Parle G biscuit production and packaging, seamlessly connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.  Such hands-on experiences are integral to our commitment to enhancing understanding and fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

 

Global Perspectives: Exploring Cultures and Systems with Mr. Madhu Manickam

On October 11, 2023, The Pupil Saveetha Eco School hosted a captivating guest lecture for Grade 2 students under the theme, "How We Organize Ourselves." The central idea explored was that "Countries are systems that facilitate collaboration toward common goals, emphasizing the importance of understanding global characteristics, cultural diversity, and systems."Our esteemed guest, Mr. Madhu Manickam, a passionate traveler, accomplished photographer, and renowned tourism advisor, engaged the students with his informative session. Mr. Manickam shared his experiences in the Indian Union territory of Ladakh through vivid photographs and videos, offering a detailed explanation of the region's unique characteristics and cultural diversity.The interactive session prompted students to ask insightful questions, fostering a dynamic exchange of knowledge. The guest lecture proved to be an enlightening and engaging learning experience for our young learners.
