Grade 8 Photography Club Visits Egmore Museum for Chennai Photo Biennale

The Grade 8 Photography Club students embarked on an enriching visit to the Egmore Museum to experience the Chennai Photo Biennale, a distinguished non-profit initiative dedicated to promoting photographic art, fostering socio-cultural dialogue, and encouraging educational engagement.During the visit, students explored a diverse collection of international photography, engaged in meaningful discussions with curators, and reflected on thought-provoking questions such as “Why Photograph?” and “What Makes You Click?”—deepening their understanding of visual storytelling and artistic expression.
The exhibition featured compelling images from 20 international photography projects, including works by children aged three to eighteen, showcasing unique perspectives and creative narratives. A truly inspiring and transformative experience for our young photographers!

Conserve My Planet – Nurturing Young Environmental Leaders

SHARP NGO, in collaboration with Schneider, introduced the Conserve My Planet program at our school, aiming to raise awareness about conservation practices among students. A series of interactive activities were conducted to inspire young minds to adopt sustainable practices and become responsible environmental stewards.Among 120 Green Ambassadors, Mohammed Abyaan Ali Shakir (Grade 7D) was declared the School Champion after excelling in the written quiz and extempore. He proudly represented our school in the Green Champion competition among eight Chennai schools. The grand finale, hosted by our school, required participants to present working models and a PowerPoint presentation on Restoration of Resources. Mohammed Abyaan secured a place among the top four finalists, impressing the judges with his projectNotable recognitions include Aaraathana R (7B) winning the Green Artist Award and Aditi V Ramesh (7A) securing the Best Booklet Award. Our school was also honored with the Host School Award and recognition for Best Green Initiatives. Congratulations to all our young environmental champions!

A Journey into Wildlife & Bird Photography – Dr. Deepthi Cheran 

The Pupil Quest Photography Club students had the privilege of attending an inspiring guest lecture titled "A Thing of Beauty is a Joy Forever", delivered by Dr. Deepthi Cheran, Associate Professor of Anaesthesia at Tamil Nadu Multi Super Speciality Hospital, Omandurar, and a passionate Wildlife & Bird Photographer. True to Ansel Adam's quote, “Photography is an austere and blazing poetry of the real,” Dr. Deepthi highlighted how photography goes beyond capturing images but about observing and appreciating beauty in the simplest moments. She shared her experiences in wildlife and bird photography, emphasizing the skill, patience, and deep knowledge required for mastering the art. The session concluded with an engaging interaction, where students eagerly asked questions about techniques, challenges, and opportunities in photography.

8th Flood Light Tennis Tournament – A Resounding Success

The Pupil Saveetha Eco School successfully organized the 8th Flood Light Tennis Tournament – Knockout, held from January 31 to February 2, 2025. The tournament featured competitive matches in the Under-8, Under-10, and Under-12 categories for both boys and girls, showcasing remarkable talent, determination, and sportsmanship.Heartfelt congratulations to all participants and winners for their exceptional performances. Their dedication and passion for the sport were truly commendable, making the tournament a grand success.
